Dental Insurance

All Dental Insurances worksat Perry Dental Solutions, except the DMO/HMO type and the Medicaid type.

Each employer's dental insurance plan has specific benefits and rules and provides for a very defined and specific level of coverage.  Some employers have multiple dental insurance plans that an employee can pick from.  Each plan will have its own specific set of benefits and coverage.

In general, we see that some dental treatments such as preventative services like exams and cleanings, are covered at 100%.  Some dental treatments such as basic dental treatments like fillings or root canals are covered at 80% and dental treatments such a major prosthetic items like bridges, crowns, dentures and implants are covered at 50% benefit rate.  The level of coverage and benefits varies from employer plan to employer plan and based upon a yearly maximum amount which is around $1,500 on average.

We have found that with most employer plans, the true percentage rate of coverage and benefits varies greatly from what you are told by your HR department because the dental insurance companies engage in price fixing by uses its own, private and secret, fee schedule, not whatever a dentist may charge, to determine what they feel is the appropriate fee for a specific dental treatment.

Because of that, we will help you determine what benefits and coverage levels are provided by your specific dental insurance plan and we will help you maximize and get the most out of your dental insurance to help you get the dental treatments and smile you need and want within your budget.
